As one of the leading independent schools in the area, working at King Henry VIII is thoroughly rewarding and we welcome job applications for both Teaching and Support Staff roles from appropriately qualified, talented and inspiring people.

If we currently have no vacancies, we always welcome speculative enquiries by post and email: info@khviii.net.  All such communications should be marked for the attention of the Headmaster, Mr Slack, at the Senior School.

Current vacancies are listed below, together with Application Forms for Teaching and Non-Teaching roles. All candidates should use the school's application form and refer to the notes about the recruitment process. Application by CV only will not be accepted.

Applications submitted for a job vacancy will be acknowledged and shortlisted candidates will be contacted soon after the closing date and invited to attend for interview.  Unsuccessful candidates will be notified, in writing, following completion of the interview process.

Current Vacancies

School Nurse

We are looking for a School Nurse responsible for the implementation of all health related policies and procedures across King Henry VIII Senior (pupils 11-18) and Prep (pupils 3-11) Schools.  Dealing with all medical emergencies throughout both schools.

This position is for 37.5 hours each week, Monday to Friday, 8.15am - 4.45pm. Term time only. Start April 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Teacher of P.E. and Girls’ Games

We are looking for a first rate teacher who has a real enthusiasm for both your subject and how it is most effectively taught. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the coaching of major girls’ sports and the ability to coach netball and hockey to a high level would be an advantage.

Required September 2018
